Mo Backup Drive

What the app does

Mo Backup Drive is a private tool operated by Mo Ally for personal backup and recovery. It uses restic and rclone to upload encrypted backups, check their integrity, and restore data when needed. It is not a public backup service and has no public signup.

Limited Google Drive access

The Google connection requests the drive.file permission. This covers files the app creates and files explicitly made available to it through Google's file-selection controls. It does not request access to every file in the owner's Drive.

Backups are encrypted on the owner's computer before upload. The Google authorization token is stored locally for the backup tool. This website does not receive that token or host the backups.

Owner-controlled storage

The owner controls the backup schedule, retention, and deletion. Google access can be revoked through the owner's Google Account. Revoking access stops future authorized access; it does not itself delete existing backups.
